First of all i feel stupid because i did not go Gremios training today. The reason? Helping my mother in Diwali preparations. I was actually looking forward to the training. But i was cornered and helpless! Actually i was blackmailed. If i go, no HTC hero. Damn!

Anyway coming into focus about the making sweets part, it was fun! HAHA. Because i liked playing with the dough. My mum taught me certain skills so that my future life partner would not have difficulties making sweets! What a great mum i have! And the sweets turned out well.

Tomorrow i have got GEMs registrations. I have made up my mind to select the Effective speaking skills module. Here is the Brief explanation what it is about:

Effective Speaking Skills (LC500A)Aims to equip students with practical skills to speak clearly and effectively so as to be able to hold conversations/discussions in different work and social settings. Essential skills learnt include correct pronunciation, clear articulation and the effective use of the voice. In Unit 1: Students learn to speak clearly and effectively through the medium of telling a story. In Unit 2: Students learn to engage in a conversation discussing social/current issues of the day. In Unit 3: Students expresses viewpoints and engage in a short ‘interview’ with the tester. They are also expected to be able to read fluently a short passage. There will be tutorials with lots of opportunities to role play and practice speaking skills in groups as well as using the language lab. There are two assessments. No.1: Students are given a story from which they must retell to the tester with a clear articulation and interest. No. 2: Students give viewpoints based on news articles and a given topic on current issues and engage in a one to one interview with the tester.

Interesting right? I would say this is my kind of a course. Well in-order to confirm a seat in it, i got to login to my student admin system at 11 am! Damn. That is early for me. BUT i still have to do it. So i better sleep early tonight. NO EXCUSES! OK i can hear my mum yelling my name. I better go! CHAO!
